If you are one of those people who enjoy building woodworking crafts/projects and some basic carpentry skills, this website will interest you as it did me. The website is Ted’s Woodworking and it was the best I’ve ever seen: http:/www.TedsWoodworking.com 

There are over 16,000 (!) woodworking plans that you can download. You won’t be disappointed with this one as I have tried some of the others and they missed the directions they provided and were difficult to understand.

I was trying my hand to make some bunkbeds for my nephews so I came across this website and decided to try it out. The advertisement I found gave me the Ted’s Woodworking website so I clicked on to see what it was all about when my curiosity got the better of me.

Who is Ted Mcgrath?

The originator of this blog was Ted Mcgrath, and he is a skilled woodworker and he knows what he is talking about. With this series there were so many woodworking plans and you won’t believe this but in the one package deal there are over 16,000 plans.

That’s something to really find that many are all together. For someone like me who’s only beginning to get interested in woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my childhood dream.

Well I was very skeptical because for the exact same thing there are all kinds of websites and you have to be careful and I wondered how one person could possibly get that many plans and woodworking blueprints put together but Ted did.

I took the leap of faith and didn’t regret it

I decided to buy it and wasn’t at all disappointed with the fact that the pages were rendered in full color and very descriptive, which made it easy to follow. I found it really hard to put it down and do other things when I got it, because it’s so interesting. It has offered me new ideas for projects in the summer!

When I got access to the download area, the layout and organization of the plans pleasantly surprised me. You’d find it to be somewhat disorganised with 16,000 plans. I found it fairly easy to find the exact project I like, though.

Bottom line

In all honesty, I don’t know how he is doing all those plans for that amount. It must have taken him a long time to put all this together, but I’m always glad that he has done so. Thank you Ted.
